The Jewish congregation of Traverse City, Beth Shalom, extends a sincere invitation to the public to join us and other communities of the area in an annual Holocaust Memorial Service on Sunday evening, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church. The service honors the six million Jews and as many as three million others who perished in the Nazi Holocaust over 75 years ago. We have several well-recognized speakers representing different segments of our community: Muslim, Hispanic, Native American, and Jewish. We thank Jeff Haas for his willingness to play an original piece in memory of some his family that had perished. Please come to unite with us in solidarity, to remember those who lost their lives in the Holocaust, and to renew our commitment to heal the world from the poison of prejudice and hate that continue especially today, resulting in unspeakable human suffering with violence and genocide.
